For my 2D to 3D image I was inspired by my Fluxus box on Howl's Moving Castle as well as my Balsa wood sculpture. I liked the organic wooden shapes that reminded my of looking up through tree branches. I used the interior of my fluxus box for inspiration on the clouds and sky, using a similar color pallet. The piece is meant to bring a sense of calm and relaxation to the viewer, like looking up at the sky through tree branches.
