For the Masking Tape Shoe project I was given the challenge of replicating a pair of laced sneakers using masking tape as the only medium. This assignment challenged my ability to create 3-dimensional forms from a relatively flat material. I found that by working with the tape as if it is sheets of fabric I could more accurately create the planes of the shoes. I built the shoes from the bottom up, starting with the soles and ending with the lace detailing on top.
